Serving Kenilworth since 1964
Fellowship Haven has served the neighborhood of Kenilworth for over 50 years. Many of our members have been coming to Fellowship Haven since they were children and now serve here themselves.
Who We Are
Fellowship Haven Chapel (Church) is a body of followers of Jesus Christ who help and encourage each other to live out Christ’s teaching concerning the Kingdom of God, as found the New Testament. Since the main purpose of Christ’s body—His Kingdom—is to obey His commands and become mature, sacrificial, burden-bearing “Agape-ists”, our doctrine and practices do not reflect popular culture or contemporary popular Christianity. As people who belong to Christ’s unseen, yet present Kingdom, we avoid influence from contemporary culture, popular religion, market economy and the entertainment media on issues related to lifestyle and religion. Rather, as best we know how and are able, we live out our time on Earth in accord with our King’s commands—peaceably and lawfully—yet often in contradiction to worldly culture.
Vision
To see many people in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area living godly, Kingdom-focused lives. This entails having a living faith in Christ Jesus, obeying His commandments in all aspects of life, and living in committed, interdependent, mutually accountable community in accord with New Testament church and discipleship teaching.
Mission
To proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of God in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area and call people into lively, committed church bodies where disciples grow in knowledge and agape love in accord with Biblical, Kingdom of God precepts.
Fellowship Haven is a sister church with the Beachy Amish congregation Gospel Light Fellowship in Gordonsville, VA.
